Dr. Ellis Ingram, aka "Poppi"

At Granny’s House, Dr. Ellis Ingram is affectionately called “Poppi” and has directed all the boys’ programs and the Science Club since Granny’s House opened in 2001. Dr. Ingram grew up in inner city Detroit where he fell in love with the microscope after his parents gave him a little toy science kit when he was still in elementary school. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine and is a retired pathologist and Emeritus Senior Associate Dean of the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He and his wife, Pamela, have been married since 1975 and have four children and five grandchildren. Since becoming a passionate follower of Christ in the 70s, Dr. Ingram has mentored countless public school students, medical students, Granny’s House kids, prisoners, and anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
